EV charging platform
A full-scale EV charging network platform was built to give drivers fast, reliable access to certified charging stations across the globe. The system was designed to:
- Connect EV owners with available charging stations via map, list, and category views
- Enable slot reservations and real-time station availability tracking
- Allow in-app payments and route planning with smart charging-stop suggestions
- Provide station owners with a centralised dashboard for access control, analytics, and billing
The platform unifies drivers, station operators, and platform administrators in a single ecosystem, delivering end-to-end visibility from station discovery to completed charge.

Development approach
We built an independent queue server to handle reservations at scale, processing charging requests in sequence and switching charging points in real time. A separate availability-sync system keeps station status accurate across all clients. All OCPP server versions were implemented from scratch for full industry compatibility, with OCPI added for flexible third-party connectivity.
Users access stations through map, list, and category views with smart filters and AI route planning. Partners get a web dashboard for management, access control, transactions, and billing, while Android and iOS apps connect the whole ecosystem for drivers.
Result
A unified EV charging platform replaced fragmented tools with a single, scalable ecosystem for drivers, partners, and administrators. With 12,000+ stations integrated worldwide, the network continues to expand and strengthen coverage. Rapid adoption is reflected in 10,000+ Google Play installs, confirming user demand.
Smart route planning and real-time station availability enable drivers to build efficient charging routes with minimal time overhead, while partners can offer additional services, such as hotel stays or restaurant bookings to engage customers.
